Lovemark Blueprint

For an aircraft preparing to take flight, take-off is the most critical time. It’s make or break time. It either lifts its wings and disappears into the heavens as intended, or it coughs, splutters, noses over and comes crashing back down to earth.

Fortunately, these days the latter scenario is pretty rare. But sadly, not so for brands. In fact, for brands it’s alarmingly commonplace.

And almost all startup brands that crash and burn before having an opportunity to leave the ground, or to get anywhere near the heights they’re shooting for, do so because they’re built on flawed foundations.

Despite all the plans, excitement and passion behind them, they don’t stand a chance.

That’s where the Lovemark Blueprint comes in.

The Lovemark Blueprint takes your brand idea, or your fledgling brand that’s still in the process of being established, and lays the groundwork that prepares it for greatness.

Wheels up!

What’s Involved

The Lovemark Blueprint consists of a 2½ hour phone or video session where we discuss all the foundational aspects of your brand, including its identity, its story, its message, its vision, its USP, and so on.

This session isn’t just a casual pow wow, however. It will strictly follow my 15-point Lovemark Blueprint Brand Identity Checklist, to ensure that we make the very best possible use of the time and cover every single important point.

What You Get

Following our in-depth discussion, I generally take two to three days to do some further research, chew over your brand’s situation, and prepare my final report.

The final Lovemark Blueprint report you receive will contain the following four summaries:

1) An assessment of your brand’s identity, positioning, value proposition, disruptiveness, market appeal, and so on. Essentially, it will be assessed against each of the 15 points in the Lovemark Blueprint Brand Identity Checklist.

2) Opportunities available to your brand.

3) Suggestions for how to pitch your brand’s value proposition to the market.

4) A high level strategy/plan for moving forward.

The Cost

The total cost of the Lovemark Blueprint is AUD$699.

“If you don’t give the market the story to talk about, they’ll define your brand’s story for you.”

Lovemark Blueprint FAQ’s

How do I know a Lovemark Blueprint will be right for me?

When we first connect for our 15-minute introductory call you will give me a brief rundown on your brand and where it’s at. At that point I should know enough to determine whether I can be of help to your brand and whether a Lovemark Blueprint is what you need. If I’m on the fence I may ask you to give me a day or two to do some further research, after which I will get back to you to let you know whether or not we should go ahead.

What if you decide that my brand won't work?

It’s pretty rare that a brand just flat out can’t possibly work. Of course, some will find success much harder to achieve than others, just by their nature. That being said, you’re not ever going to open up your Lovemark Blueprint report to find a big red “X” with “Don’t give up your day job” written underneath. Each area of your idea/brand will be assessed objectively, and recommendations will be given as to how to maximise your brand’s overall chance of success. The rest will be up to you.

The truth is, there are a number of very successful Lovemarks out there that still have me scratching my head wondering how they did it. So the landscape is in no way black and white. Some people are happy to take on a huge branding challenge with an uncertain outcome because they believe in what they’re doing. And that’s perfectly fine. My job is simply to be the voice of objectivity from which you can make your decisions.

I just have one specific problem with setting up my brand. Can you just help me with that and nothing else?

Unfortunately not. If that’s what you’re looking for then you would probably be best off enlisting the services of a branding consultant.

The scope of work for my Lovemark Blueprint is fixed, and I work this way for a reason. From my experience, many struggling new brand owners can often be mistaken about or even completely unaware of what holes or shortcomings their brand concept actually has. It can be a case of not seeing the forest for the trees, and of being too emotionally attached. By taking a holistic and systematic approach to assessing a brand, we can be assured of covering all bases and not getting caught out by making assumptions about where the issues are.

Do I need to pay up front?

I will only ask you to pay 25% of the total fee (AUD$175) up front, just as a gesture that you’re a serious client. Before getting started we will sign a working contract so that we both know what’s expected of each other. This contract will clearly lay out the terms for payment of the 25% deposit and the balance of the total fee.

Can you help me correct any issues with my brand that the Lovemark Blueprint identifies?

If you would like to continue working with me following your Lovemark Blueprint, your next available option would be to sign up for a Lovemark Buildout. There we would get to work creating all the important foundational aspects of your brand.
